Kayaks

Enjoy a more active hour out on the water, paddling past nomad-style tents pitched on the shore, and exploring the coast North of our Bas-Nautique. Our kayak monitor is on hand to keep you safe, as well as give beginners tips and tricks to get them started. If you are more skilled kayaker (as assessed by our staff) there is the option for an excursion to explore the nearby cove of Bultaha.

Arriving at our base, our kayak monitor will greet you and walk you down to the the beach. After being outfitted with a life-jacket, our staff will help you launch out into our buoyed safety-area to assess your skills. If you are a beginner this is an excellent place to splash around in, get your bearings, and learn a couple of techniques. For those with a little more experience, it is a short but invigorating journey North to Bultalha, a local favourite spot, complete with nomad-style tents pitched on the beach and a little marine oasis of a tidal lagoon. Once you have had your fill, you can enjoy a return with wind at your back as you skim over the waves back to our base.

Our kayak monitor will be on-hand through out with a safety boat. They will be ready to offer tips to beginners, as well as assess the weather and conditions to support your time on the water and keep you safe.

Please wear clothes suitable for the water and bring a towel – you will get wet!
